Google My Business 2020 Case Study
2020 may have been a crazy year but one of the most surprising things was that our local search marketing service had many clients that saw significant growth! Even during an incredibly tumultuous time, many of our clients were able to use this service and improve their Google My Business rankings. Keep reading to learn more!
Case Study 1: A Mid Size, 4 Location Retina Practice In Florida
Package: Local SEO Monthly Maintenance
Overview: This practice signed on at the beginning of the pandemic. They had a substantial amount of old/inaccurate information on many high-priority sites that was hurting their rankings and confusing patients.
Phase 1: Clean and optimize their Google and Yelp profiles.
Phase 2: Find and update all their old/inaccurate profiles.
Phase 3: Set up monthly maintenance to track analytics, manage duplicate profiles, update existing profiles, etc.
After we completed their cleanup and optimized their high-priority profiles, there were huge improvements seen across the board! Google now has accurate information about this business and is indexing it accordingly.

Overview: This practice signed on at the beginning of the pandemic. They were struggling with getting their business profiles to rank and there was a lot of inaccurate information that needed to be cleaned up.

Phase 2: Find and update all their old/inaccurate profiles.

For this practice, we optimized all high-priority sites as well as doctor-specific sites like Healthgrades and WebMD. A lot of their existing profiles were very thin with information. For the best results, it made sense to add high-quality/important content to each of their profiles.
Google now has accurate information about this business and is indexing it accordingly. Our local program is continuing to show improvements months after they signed on.
Case Study 3: A Small, 2 Location LASIK, Cataract, and General Eye Care Practice In California

Overview: This practice signed on at the beginning of the year. They recently moved locations and were struggling in rankings. Google’s navigation was also messed up when anyone requested directions to their new office.
Phase 1: Clean and optimize their Google and Yelp profiles.
Phase 2: Contact Google support to fix the navigation issues.
Phase 3: Find and update all their old/inaccurate profiles.

After correcting this practice’s old profiles to reflect their new office, both Google and their patients were more informed about where their new office is located. This also helped to fix their navigation issues which resolved a lot of confusion.
