Glacial Multimedia, Inc Launches Responsive UCLA Laser Refractive Center Website
Glacial Multimedia is proud to announce the recent launch of the UCLA Laser Refractive Center’s brand new website. The Web Development and Production teams here at Glacial Multimedia have worked diligently to create a clean, modern and fully-responsive design that will best serve UCLA as well as its patients and staff alike.
Glacial worked closely with ophthalmologist and Medical Director Dr. Rex Hamilton throughout the entire development process to ensure that the values and image of the practice were well preserved every step of the way. Through this site launch, we hope to greatly improve UCLA’s online presence and further their reputation as one of the best refractive centers in Los Angeles.
In addition to being visually pleasing, UCLA Laser Refractive Center’s new website is also built on a solid foundation of cutting-edge technology. It is fully responsive, meaning that the site responds to the browser size, orientation and platform on which it’s being viewed. Responsive web design is becoming the new standard, increasing in importance as the number of devices, platforms and browsers that a site needs to work with grows.
Another great feature of UCLA’s design is the parallax scrolling animation. Parallax scrolling has been a huge trend in web design over the past year, and when used correctly adds a subtle element of depth. Glacial also equipped UCLA’s new site with our latest scheduling module, AppointmentsMD, as well as our brand new “Review Us Online” module. These features allow patients to interact with UCLA around the clock.
Finally, the Refractive Center’s newly-refreshed online presence and visibility are being bolstered by Glacial’s top-notch Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices, both on- and off-page. With each passing month, Google’s standards for what constitutes “good” SEO evolve, and Glacial Multimedia’s SEO team has remained on the forefront of that wave every step of the way. A new site is a new opportunity, and we look forward to watching UCLA’s ranking continue to improve.
Critical to the process of developing this site was Glacial project manager, Angie Grosso, who worked in coordination with Austen Mauch, Allician Perez and Dr. Rex Hamiltion. “Working with the UCLA team was productive and enjoyable, they really let us keep the site minimal but impressive from a design standpoint” says Angie Grosso.
